Ghiz park logo The Joseph A. Ghiz Memorial Park is located between Grafton, Edward and Kent Streets in downtown Charlottetown.

Across the street from Glendenning Hall (Holland College's student residence), this lovely little park is located at one of the main entrances to Charlottetown, just off the Hillsborough Bridge.

It was once called Grafton Street East, but was renamed The Joseph A. Ghiz Memorial Park in 2000. Thanks to the hard work of the Lake of Shining Waters IODE (headed by project coordinator Marlene Bryenton) and various members of the community, the park was revitalized into a crucial downtown gem, a safe green space and prominent part of the Confederation Trail.

You can find driving directions on the about page, read more about the park's history and rebirth, see photos at the gallery and learn how to donate to the Dr. Marlene Bryenton Ghiz Park Fund.
